What would Batman do?
I've been talking a lot about the differences of outbound and inbound marketing recently (probably too much). What I love about inbound marketing is that it's unobtrusive. You don't call people and sell stuff not matter what, you rather focus on helping people find you when they need your help: kind of like Batman.
And here's the interesting part: this shift is also happening in other specialties, like product design, where developers are moving to messaging interfaces and chat bots that are frictionless and reactive rather than proactively trying to make the deal. I wrote a post about Batman Onboarding more than a year ago and also started working on a presentation, but never finished it.
Here's one more slide from it:
In my opinion, the best way to tackle marketing or product design is understanding the context the user is in and reacting on it in the best way.
