Speed Twitter announced the shutdown of popular 6-second video loop app Vine yesterday (see #RIPVine for more info). Not a great move for many "Vine celebrities," artists who built a large following by dedicating a lot of time to the create comedic loops. Sorry to bother you with Giphy fanboyism again, but I was impressed with their responsiveness regarding current events: A few hours ago they announced an integration that lets Vine creators import all their loops and convert them to gifs. Smart move, as Giphy seems to be targeting artists and creators now. For example, they also started a GIPHY Arts Twitter account last month.
