How we're trying to get the users' attention
Yesterday, I wrote about the results of our first A/B test to increase our following. We learned that the desktop version of the CTAs had an extremely low click rate and was also closed significantly less than the mobile version (a screenshot of the CTA can be found in my newsletter from the other day).
This is why we decided to change the position and the layout of it, to make it seem more like a notification than a spammy green bar that tends to fall victim to banner blindness.
Also, Alex had the awesome idea to add some playfulness to it. The closer you're to the CTA, the "warmer" it gets. See for yourself:
